Penneys Christmas 2018 Press Event

Last week I was delighted to attend the Penneys Christmas press event in 11 North Great Georges Street, Dublin. What a beautiful venue - such a pretty backdrop for the lovely Christmas products being showcased by Primark on the day!

From the moment we stepped up to this beautiful door, Christmas had officially begun. I am in the mood to put my Christmas tree up now! The festivities are well & truly under way.

When we entered the fab house we were greeted by the lovely Primark PR team - Stephanie & the girls!

The house was decorated so beautifully with holly, Christmas trees, pressies & best of all roaring fires in each room - it was so warm & cosy! There was the smell of the wood burning & the Christmas music playing - all that was missing was the turkey 😀 I honestly could have stayed all day!

The Primark PR team done such a fantastic job with all of the beautiful decorations, food & drinks - the atmosphere was unbelievable!

They had all the gorgeous kiddie Christmas themed bits out including Minnie & Mickey Mouse merchandise!

You can even get the Minnie & Mickey mouse Christmas stockings - so cute!

I loved the baby's first Christmas stocking & the cute baby gro - there really is a Christmas product for everyone!

Oh these are so cute - you really can't beat Penneys for childrenswear & their festive pieces are adorable! Check it out in stores now!

The perfect tulle skirt for your little girl this party season!

They also have a large range of Christmas jumpers & lets face it we all need one of these!

Of course I had to have a little look at what I might wear over the holidays & I spotted this amazing sequin co - ord. I picked the skirt up in Penneys, Mary St. but I am still on the hunt for the top! I need this top - sequin heaven!!

Trust me the picture isn't doing it justice - it is so fab & perfect for the party season! I have it on video on my Instagram highlights under Penneys Christmas event so check it out. I have also shown styling the skirt with a cosy knit so it is so versatile if you are not into the co - ord. Both pieces are sold separately & in stores now!

For the dress lover .....wait for it....it comes in a dress form too for only €25! Its so gorgeous!

Penneys are really killing it with their boots this season. The most perfect Christmas boots are these black sparkle pointy toe boots - just devine!

When I shared these on my Instagram stories, I got so many mails about them - they are perfect! I haven't seen them in stores yet but as soon as I do I will share with you all!👌

They also have beautiful gold heeled boots - they come in a wine & black & they are only €19. The wine were on display at the event - the gold heel really adds that extra glam to a comfy every day boot!

They also have amazing stud boots in for the winter season - here is the fab grey ones!

I went straight to Penneys on Mary Street to pick these up - I'm literally in love! Earlier this year I picked up similar style boots in black & tan with studs from Penneys & I lived in them!

The new style also comes in black!

The last thing I fell in love with & that I NEED is the rose gold make up brushes - they are unreal & come in this little glitzy case! In love!!

So guys there you have it - that is a round up of some of my favourite Penneys goodies from last week. You can also check out my Instagram highlights for more of the day.

It was such a stunning festive event & I want to say thank you so much to Stephanie Game & all of the wonderful girls in Primark PR.

Also thank you to Penneys for a very generous gift voucher!
It was such a perfect day to start the holiday season! 💓

Interior Edit - My Living Room Furniture

When decorating our living room in our new house we wanted to choose a couch that was comfortable but that also looked good!

So we picked this four seater "Americano" suite from Kingsbury Furniture in Tallaght - check them out at https://www.kingsburyfurniture.ie.

I wanted to keep the cream & grey tones so I went with this light grey velvet fabric for the suite! I know, I know, it is such a light colour & def. not for everyone but I absolutely love it! I have it over a year now & I have a 10 month old baby & there isn't a mark on it! Of course you can get it sprayed to protect it & the staff at Kingsbury will be on hand to advise you on your options.

The colour fabric that we picked is called "Slub Stone" but this suite comes in a variety of different shades so there are lots of options to choose from.

The couch comes with three small scatter cushions & again you can select from many colours depending on your rooms colour scheme. I absolutely love blush pink so we picked .....well I picked 😅 ...the blush pink scatter cushions!

They are fab little cushions but just living with the couch & in the space I have it in, I decided that I needed cushions with print & something that could add some texture to the flat colour of the suite. I picked up the five scatter cushions with a mix of strips & geometric prints from Next Home. I adore the sort of champagne gold & rose colours mixed with the grey.

I also keep a throw on the base cushions at all times just to protect the fabric. This one is almost the exact same light grey colour so it blends perfectly! I picked this one up in Marks & Spencers last Christmas!

I promise I will do a room tour soon - I am just finalising the rest of my furniture in the kitchen/living area first so I will give you all a sneak peek soon I promise.

Just to add - the "Americano" suite can be purchased in many different sizes & is Irish made so the turnaround on getting it was quick! You can contact Kingsbury Furniture or pop into store to find out more.

Also Kingsbury have kindly given me a discount code to offer to all of you so if you use code Paul 1851 you can avail of 10% discount of all ranges excluding special promotion offers, floor model discounted offers or flooring! So it is def worth popping into store for a browse - they have a beautiful show room in Tallaght & they stock so much more than just couches - so worth a visit if you are in the home styling market!

If you do purchase anything tag me using #thestyleflamingos in your photographs on Instagram so that I can see your furniture picks.

Happy interior shopping & dreaming! 😆

DublinTown Fashion Festival The Collective

We were delighted to be invited to the DublinTown Fashion Festival The Collective launch event last Wednesday evening!

It was a fabulous night hosted by the ever dapper Clyde Carroll, Marketing & Communications Director, DublinTown & the beautiful Cassie Stokes, Xpose Presenter.

The event, sponsored by some amazing brands including Evoke.ie, Dyson Hair & Bloom Gin, showcased the best that Dublin fashion has to offer for the new season - so for us fashion obsessed Bloggers the night was just a dream come true!

The fashion show of the year was held in the stunning Round Room at The Mansion House, Dublin & was attended by some of Ireland's biggest names in the fashion industry, such as, Karen Koster, Lorraine Keane, Cybil Mulcahy, Marissa Carter & the amazing James Patrice! It was simply fabulous to be seated at the opening night of DublinTown Fashion Festival with so many of the industry favourites! We were treated to a display of Dublin's finest high street fashions on the catwalk -  so my shopping list for the A/W wardrobe has just got a lot longer! 😁

One of my favourite pieces of the night included a beautiful red velvet dress from Retro Shop Dublin -  I am already on a waiting list to buy this - I am in love! Retro Shop Dublin have kindly sent me this picture of the dress in a plum colour - how stunning!

There was also this beautiful lime green tweed effect jacket from Penneys - their new season collection is just so good!

If you are in the market for the ultimate showstopping outfit .....then look no further. How absolutely stunning is this royal blue jumpsuit with skirt train from Phoenix V! It is just incredible!

My love for the Cher from Clueless vibe is ever growing this season & as soon as I spotted the next look from The Donegal Shop on the catwalk I was sold. How beautiful is the check kilt & Aran Crafts Roll-Neck jumper?! Oh & I am now sort of loving the baker boy trend again! 😉

The Donegal Shop

Sticking with the Clueless vibes I loved this check pinafore from Cath Kidston - its just so feminine & girly. It could def. be dressed up with heels or dressed down with some over the knee boots - Oh I am just trying to convince myself how many ways I could style this beauty!! 😀 Such Chanel vibes too!

Now, one of all time favourites on the night was this showstopping skirt from OM Diva - the colours just epitomise the perfect Autumnal look! The image of the skirt is from the Look-book we were given on the night as my camera shot was a little blury 😒

There were so many other looks showcased on the night & if you want to see more you can check out Dublin Fashion Festival on Instagram (@Dublinfashion_) or Xpose's live Facebook video. I have also saved some highlights from the night on my Instagram @thestyleflamingos if you want to take a look!

More about 'DublinTown Fashion Festival The Collective' Launch night

On the night, Bloom Gin hosted a beautiful pop up gin bar - so of course we sampled their limited edition Jasmine & Rose gin - it was amazing! Our drink of choice was #PinkDifferently - just loved it! I need to get a little bottle for myself!

One of the most amazing things about DublinTown Fashion Festival is that they recognise the best of Ireland's young fashion Designers in the ultimate 'Young Designer of the Year Award'. DublinTown acknowledge the best of young creative talent & award them with a very special accolade, assisting them to kick start their design career.

We were very proud to meet the 2017 Dublin Fashion Festival Young Designer of the Year, Naomi Aje & of course we got a little snap happy! 😀

It was also fantastic to witness the next creative Irish talent, Michelle McAuley, winner of the 2018 Dublin Fashion Festival Young Designer of the Year! This is Michelle's winning dress design below.

Best of luck to Michelle for the exciting year ahead & for her future career as a Designer!

What an evening of wonderful fashion - I literally want so many of the pieces showcased on the night!!

To top the night off, Laura & I won best Instagram post of the night!
